England's World Cup Squad
Eriksson announced his World Cup squad for England today, and I'm shocked... 4 strikers with two of them doubtful, one of them inconsistent and one that has yet to play a league match? Rooney, Owen, Crouch, Walcott. Rooney is highly highly doubtful unless he takes the laser surgery and Owen will not be match-fit, what is Eriksson thinking? Crouch is soooo temperamental in scoring and Walcott as big as a talent he is hasn't played an EPL match. I mean Walcott is 'zhai' but WTH! You're going to put him up against Roberto Carlos and co., he's not going to make it, he hasn't even tried going up against people like Yobo and co. ... I bet Eriksson is trying to screw the England squad before he leaves! He should take people like Stewart Downing out and put in the likes of Defoe, Ashton, Bent or even Heskey! Owen is like super small size and you'll need a big guy to hold the defence up for him. Crouch as tall as he is doues not do that and you don't put Walcott with him. What? Two lightning-paced strikers? When England go to the World Cup and Owen can't play, Walcott will not be there, it's going to be Crouch and Cole/Gerrard and Walcott will come on as substitute... Eriksson is crazy...
Manchester should save money and get Okocha, who's just released from Bolton, who cares about Graveson or Diarra, Okocha is pro... United should have a good squad next season, V. Nistelrooy would move, and I expect possibly Gudjohnsen and Okocha or Carrick with another keeper (or Ben Foster returning) coming in.
