Language
I was reading somewhere that one guy said he wanted to be a car-namer, because all he had to do was to come up with some fanciful name and earn money easily, later he went on to talk about the different car names, like ____ Latios and that in the Middle East, even if you named it ____ GoStun no one would bother and would even think it to be a class name. Anyeay, I was thinking about it and that actually language is really weird, like the Malay Teacher said, Malay was turned into Roman words for better understanding and that also even if you go up to a Chinese guy and tell him 'otak udang' and smile at him, he would smile back.
Just as XLX was saying that if you don't understand Chinese, next time go China and do business, even if they joked about how big an idiot you are in front of your face, you would still smile at them, 'zhi tou luo wang'. Really, language can be manipulated, like a double-edged sword according to Mr. Liew and that as much as we complain that Chinese is boring, we eventually know we will use it be it in the form of business or leisure etc. I was watching Homo Sapiens that day on CNA and they were talking about the evolution of language from the "er...arh...erm...ooo" to the English we speak nowadays, it actually is all for one purpose - communication and that it can be used to make or break.
Wheew, can't believe I managed to talk so much crap on language :), anyway back to daily boring life, gym again then nothing much interesting, really because it really is about the same routine everyday, I need to make my life different...
