House hunting
Went house hunting today, looked at a total of 5 houses at the Holland V. area, which is close to HCI, but not to my preferences because there is only one direct bus (ie. 74) that goes to the school but it makles one whole round around (i think it is...) Farrer before heading to my school. Probably would take 40 mins when a car ride would have taken 15 or so. Okay, review of the houses, first house I saw was kind of erm... well-designed, had a good location, because the 74 bus-stop was in walking distance, around 5 mins or less. The second was close by but not as comfy or nice. Better facing though, won't get afternoon sun compared to the first. Third and fourth house didn't leave a very lasting impression, good facing but the bus-stop was supre far away. The design was not as nice too. Nothing fantastic in all. Liked the fifth house the most, it was owned by a Malay family, thus having that type of unique Malay flavour, so if we were to renovate it, it would still have traces of Malayism (joking :) ) or Malay flavour in it added with that Chinese touch, sounds cool right. Would have preferred places like Sunset Way or Toh Yee which is super close to the school and has at least 2-3 buses going there (direct ones I mean). Holland V. has its own good points, there is tons of good food and so on. Anyway, the main reason why we or my family is house hunting is because I am taking an hour an a half to travel to school everyday, which is a huge waste of time. Sisters (two of them) shiuld be going to schools around that area after their PSLE (over already) and O-Levels (in progress).
